Computer scientists Vinton Cerf and Bob Kahn are credited with inventing the Internet communication protocols we use today and the system referred to as the Internet.

• Addictive Internet 

        With social networks, many people, especially young people, cannot go a day or two without posting photos or hanging out with friends online. The downside of this method is that it leaves people with a lack of physical interaction skills. And that, in turn, can create an anti-social. Everyone wants to connect to the Internet so they can spend time with family, friends, and loved ones with their moments. But most people are addicted to the Internet. And it takes away the connection and bond of family, friends, and loved ones.

 • Low self-esteem 

        So many people can relate to this. You might be scrolling on Instagram or Facebook. And then you come across a photo of their peers in expensive clothes and cars or a really cute couple. You immediately feel below standard because you may not be able to afford such luxuries right now. It can be dangerous without you even realizing it and send you into a state of depression.

• Cyber Crime 

        The internet has and is still a means through which cyber bullies get their victims. This is not what the internet was made for but these people use it as an avenue to get to vulnerable people. They use the internet to hack credit cards and spread viruses in order to access personal data illegally. They hack social media accounts of gullible people and so on. Quite unfortunate because cybercrime is on the rise. The internet is the bedrock of cybercrime. 

 • Information overload 

        Due to excess information on a topic on the internet, one may find it difficult to effectively make decisions. It can lead to less intellectual performance, loss of control, and ineffective decision-making prowess. 

 • Internet Politics 

        The internet also helps politicians to infect society by dividing people's solidarity by producing material about socialism and caste on the internet. Those who produce communalism and the class in society, society can never develop. But they use it to get votes and popular support in elections. All kinds of societies and cultures around the world are influenced by these types of people on the Internet. Society is bound to support individualism. Society is in a dilemma on the Internet. Societies would very quickly be neutralized if these political practices were not ignored by the Internet and social media users.

 • Social and Personal Safety 

        There is too much inappropriate content on social networking sites and on the internet.  I don't think such materials are good for children and teenagers. There is too much-hacking information and data on the internet. Even children hack websites these days. Corporate Internet privacy and security soon became everyone's biggest concern. Nothing about internet privacy. It is even difficult for the governments of many different countries to protect the privacy of users. We use different apps on mobile devices and you know that 90% of apps ask you to allow or grant access to your photos, contacts, and other data. You don't have any other option to install apps on your phone if you don't want to.

Bright Sides 

The digital media and internet have many advantages including being able to research any topic, share information with others quickly and conveniently, and access news from anywhere in the world.
